Managing Talent Agency Workspaces

Learn how set up your agency workspace, invite agents, and connect an account for payment

Updated over 3 weeks ago

🔐 Employees (like agents) invited to the talent agency workspace can access all transactions and the agency’s full roster. This feature is only accessible on 🖥️ Desktop Devices.

Overview

Designed for talent agents, this workspace lets you manage your roster and banking details to receive payments on behalf of your clients working on active productions.

Creating Workspaces

Talent Agency Workspaces are created exclusively by the Circus team to ensure all agencies are verified before workers can link them to their profiles. To get verified, please contact us at support@circushr.com.

Editing Workspaces

Once you've been invited to an agency workspace, you can always go back into the settings to change the Workspace Name and Icon by clicking on the Workspace from the main dashboard, then click on the settings icon under your Workspace Icon in the left navigation.

You can edit the following details here:

  • Workspace Name – The public name of your talent agency (e.g., Super Talented).

  • Legal Entity Name – The registered legal name of your business (e.g., Super Talented Agency Inc.).

  • Taxpayer Country – Select either Canada or the United States.

  • Business Number – Enter your 9-digit CRA Business Number (Canada) or EIN (Employer Identification Number) issued by the IRS (U.S.).

  • Registration Region – The province or state where your business was originally registered.

  • Mailing Address – The location of your business’s headquarters.

  • Business Website – The full URL of your business website. Be sure to include http:// or https://.

  • Office Phone – The primary phone number for your business.

Connecting a Bank Account

Talent agencies can connect a bank account to receive direct deposit payments on behalf of all their talent.

Using Login Credentials

If you have access to connect directly to the business's bank account using login credentials, follow the steps:

  1. Go to Settings – In your workspace, navigate to the Settings page and click “Connect Account.”

  2. Select Your Bank – Choose your bank from the list. If it’s not displayed among the top options, use the search bar to find it by name or by its 3-digit institution number.

  3. Choose Account Type – Select “Business” as your account type.

  4. Click Continue – Proceed by clicking the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Accept Terms – Review and accept the terms and conditions of our secure payment processor.

  6. Log In to Your Bank – Enter your banking credentials to verify ownership and ensure payments are routed correctly.

  7. Confirmation – You’ll be redirected back to the Workspace Settings page. Once connected, you’ll see a “Connected” label, along with your bank name and the last four digits of your account.

Manual Connection

If you're having trouble signing into your bank, you can connect your account manually by following these steps:

  1. Search for a Bank – In the bank search bar, type in random text (e.g., AAA) to ensure no results appear.

  2. Select “Connect Manually” – Once no results are shown, click the “Connect Manually” option.

  3. Enter Account Details – Fill in your direct deposit account information and select “Connect.”

  4. Confirmation – You’ll be redirected back to Circus. Once connected, you’ll see a “Connected” label, along with your bank name and the last four digits of your account number.

Editing the Bank Account

To update your bank information at any time, click “Edit Bank Account” and repeat the steps above.

To change workspaces while already inside one, click on the workspace icon located at the top left of your screen and select the desired workspace from the list. You can return to your main dashboard at any time using the same method.

Workspace Permissions

The workspace will initially be owned by the user who created it. However, ownership can be transferred to another user, and additional personnel can be granted access to the workspace by contacting support. For more details, see our guide on Managing Permissions.
