Overview
Agents or Managers typically have to onboard on behalf of their client's as they may legally represent them for all contracts, and may need to receive payment on their behalf so their bank account would need to be connected.
Use this guide to understand how a representative may onboard on behalf of their worker based on the two different types of invites available:
Locked Invites
If you're in the production office and have access to invite workers, you may want to send an invite to a worker who has representation (ie. Cast, Background and Heads of Department) it's advised to send the invite email to the reps instead.
To avoid an agent being tied to a single account, you'll need to add a custom email. Most email providers will support simply adding a +talent_name
to the agent’s email address. So if the agents email is ari.gold@mga.com
, you'd send the invite to ari.gold+vincentchase@mga.com
.
This will ensure that all communication that comes from Circus will go to the agent, and the agent can create an account in Circus that only contains their client's information, add their own banking details, and onboard on their behalf.
Open Invites
If you've sent a representative an open invite (ie. custom link) to allow them to set the deal points for their talent first, then the rep would click on the link, then register for an account using the same email method as described above.
Note: This is a TEMPORARY solution. Circus is working towards allowing agents and managers to manage a roster of their talent under a single account.
