Sending Start Packs to GreenSlate

Learn how to automatically or manually send start packs to process payroll.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

🔐 To use this feature, you'll need to be have Start Pack approver access. 🖥️ This feature is accessible on desktop devices only.

Overview

When a 4-digit GSID is added to a production in the settings, worker start packs are automatically sent to GreenSlate once they reach final approval.

However, in time-sensitive situations where payroll needs to be processed immediately, any user in the approval chain can manually send a start pack to GreenSlate as soon as the main cosigner approves it—without waiting for final approval.

Sending Start Packs to GreenSlate

  1. Click the more icon (3 dots) next to the submitted start pack you wish to send to GreenSlate.

  2. Select 'Send to GreenSlate'

  3. The worker's start pack is sent to GreenSlate via the API.

  4. A 4-digit ID is added in the GSID column, next to the worker's start pack.

Important notes – Any user in the approval chain can send the pack after the main cosigner approval—you don't need to wait for final approval.

What happens after sending:

  • Tracking: Circus logs who sent the start pack and when within Walkie.

  • Final approval: When the start pack reaches final approval later, it's simply marked as approved in Circus—no duplicate send occurs

  • Disputes: If the start pack is disputed after sending, it will only be sent to GreenSlate again if deal points have changed
